Also is there such a thing as a Domain Registrar, that’s just a well umm domain registrar 🤣🤣 No seriously? Hmm 🧐
StackExchange/dnscontrol: Infrastructure as code for DNS! 👈👈 Now this looks might interesting… I might look into this for managing my own domains and DNS. I note that my current registrar isn’t on the list of supported registrars, oh well, I don’t like OnlyDomains™ much anyway. Anyone familiar with these regisrars?

@slashdot@feeds.twtxt.net Oh come on! 🤦♂️🤦♂️ Geez christ! 😱😱
@bender@twtxt.net Ahh I see! That could be useful 🤔
@bender@twtxt.net Ahh nice! But besides that, is it actually useful, like do you actually run services on your phones or what not? 🤔🤔
@bender@twtxt.net What does this do for you? 🤔🤔
@aelaraji@aelaraji.com Haha that’s pretty cool! 😎
@suitechic Welcome to Yarn.social 👌👌
Ahh! I could never really get into command-line todo(s) 🤣🤣
👀
@bender@twtxt.net Yeah I went with a different name 🤣 Inspired by “AdGuard” 🤣🤣
EdgeGuard is a self-hosted solution that combines secure tunneling, proxying, and automation to create your own private cloud. Utilizing Wireguard for VPN, Caddy for reverse proxying, and Coraza for web application firewall, EdgeGuard allows you to securely expose your home network services (such as Gitea, Poste.io, etc.) to the Internet. With seamless automation and on-demand TLS, EdgeGuard gives you the power to manage your own cloud-like environment with the control and privacy of self-hosting.
@bender@twtxt.net Even at your home? 🏠
@andros@twtxt.andros.dev It’s just that our cat is also a black rag-doll cat that looks almost the same 🤣
@andros@twtxt.andros.dev Very nice! 👍
@movq@www.uninformativ.de Yes they are. And I got up early for some strange reason, prolly cause I’m feeling quite sick so had to get up shower, and cough up a bunch of shit™ 💩
@movq@www.uninformativ.de Ahh yeah I used to use those exact model headphones 🎧 These days I’m wearing Apple Airpods 👌
@movq@www.uninformativ.de What kind of headphones are they? 🤔🤔
Hmm worked for me 🤔 DM me your IP so I can search the WAF logs 🙏
👋 Man, I ready do feel like shit! 🤧😢
@bender@twtxt.net Thanks! I’ll try to repro and fix shortly 👌

Fucking hell. This was me trying to figure out why I was getting a 403 Forbidden
from my own Edge proxy and waf 🤦♂️ See This Issue for details 🤣
Solution:
Add this to the WAF:

@bender@twtxt.net Is right. Apparently it’s 0 bandwidth. I’m asking them some clarifying questions:
Hi Team,
Just noticed that you offer FREE (as in $0) VM(s) on the vc2-1c-0.5gb-free
plan. however I also note that this has 0 Bandwidth.I’m a bit confused by this. What would be the point of having a free VM if it has no Bandwidth? How is network bandwidth charged in this case?
cheers

@aelaraji@aelaraji.com Yes it would be honestly, for low traffic volumes for sure!
@terron@duque-terron.cat Oh! For a minute there I thought this was our cat 🐱 Haha 😆
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org Or… You got interrupted and forgot about the shape of the codebase you were going for 🤣
@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz Morning! 👋 I’m quite ill today, taking today/tomorrow off work. Not sure what I’ve come down with 😢 😷
@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz HTMX is very nice to use 🤣
Look forward to it 😅
@bender@twtxt.net It’s true! This is only a good thing @kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz 🤣 You keep going like this with your own little community of friends, and my twtxt.net
(flagship pod) will no longer be 🤣 I’ve always want to see Yarn.social grow, but grow in ways that keep to its truest sense of “decentralised”. That’s one of the reasons I built yarnd
not to scale too much 🤣 My own pod has around ~18-20 active users per month (give or take) and that’s honestly enough 😅
@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz Oh you self-host Plex too! 🤔 Nice! 👍
I don’t want it to be 2026 🤣
@bmallred@staystrong.run You can probably recover missing twts from our caches if you need to…
Hey this could be good news for self-hosters and folks that want to run their own yarnd

@aelaraji@aelaraji.com Same, I hope things get much better for you bud 🤗
No more stupid little DDoS(s) from fucking China now 🤣
