– Wow 😮 This is pretty amazing! Scientists and this new company called Eon, have managed to replicate the entire structure of a fruit fly’s brain, exactly. It behaves exactly like a fruit fly does, in it’s virtual simulated world. The only thing they’re missing is the strengths of the connections and weights of each neuron and the state of the chemical “soup”? of the original fly, so it carries no memories and has no “mind”, but structurally it works! Holy shit! Wowza 😱

We’ve had a YouTube Faamily plan for years (we originally signed up to keep the ads away from the younglings), and it’s included as part of the deal. I also have some hard-to-find music I uploaded to it back when it was Google Play Music. Still, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, per se.

I was raised without a TV, so I don’t miss it one bit. My parents just didn’t by a new one after their super old black and white device died. Looking after a baby was maybe spare time activity enough for them. :-P

When there was some super cool program I wanted to watch, like a James Bond movie, I visited my grandma. Sure, it sometimes was a pity that I could not join yesterday’s TV series discussions with my classmates, but oh well. I survived that. Building stuff with Lego or playing outside was all I really wanted.

Apart from a few really good programs, there’s sooooo much trash, non-stop ads and the like. Even as a kid, I was very disgusted by all that. But I have to admit that visting somebody with a TV and watching a good show was usually a highlight. These days, I can easily waste all my time and more on YouTube. :-/

“Exit Wound” é um single do novo album mas podia ser de toda esta era (dos dois albuns, portanto): um retrato de como, tanto musical como liricamente, tudo o que aqui é feito é um piscar de olho ao tríptico da banda e ao Marilyn Manson dessa altura - o Marilyn Manson que foi agora (nesta “continuação”) assassinado.

On some YouTube feed <entry>s, I noticed updated <updated> fields showing today’s timestamps. But unless there is no <published>, the <updated> is not even considered. I verified that in the source code. Yet, all the affected articles in Newsboat show today’s timestamp, not the years old publication timestamp. I generate the YouTube feeds from the original feeds myself once a day, so I doubt that this is cause by some YouTube shenanigans.

Very weird, it doesn’t make any sense at all. What is going on here? O_o It doesn’t appear that I have duplicates in the database either.

You didn’t change your Atom feed by any chance yesterday or today, @movq@www.uninformativ.de? Not only do I have a metric shitton of “new” old items in my YouTube feeds, but also a bunch of your old articles are shown as new.
