Long run: 9.33 miles, 00:10:21 average pace, 01:36:32 duration
easy run on the treadmill today since we have a lot going on and i had to watch the kiddos. split into three 5kms with first and last at about 10:55 pace, and the middle 5km at about a 9:14 pace. nothing crazy, felt good, kept it in the blue and finished it strong.

The 26°C humidity was through the roof and we just barely escaped the thunderstorm on our stroll. Only the adjacent rain hit us hard. Black clouds caught up on us and we decided to take cover at a barn. Not even a minute later it started to rain cats and dogs for ten minutes straight. Holy crap, that was cool to watch. :-) Also, the smell of rain was just beautiful.
We then decided to continue our return in the light drizzle. But it then got much heavier again and we got completely soaked. With the wet t-shirt and the wind it actually felt rather cold. I anticipated to get rained on, so I left my camera at home. Plenty of paths turned into brook landscapes, several centimeter deep creeks ran down the hilly trails. Quite fascinating. :-)

I've been thinking about a new term I've come across whilst reading a book. It's called "Complexity Budget" and I think it has relevant in lots of difficult fields. I specifically think it has a lot of relevant in the Software Industry and organizations in this field. I mean, I’m all for reducing complexity. 😅 I just have a hard time defining it and arguing about it. What I call “too complex”, others might think of as “just fine”. 🤔

was feeling in the flow for the first 2.5 miles and then some lady stopped me in her car to help her get a turtle to the pond. could not get it back afterwards but it was still a fun time out albeit exhausting.

I don’t remember who was looking for a way to block A.I bots/scrappers. But here’s an article by Cloudflare “Declare your AIndependence: block AI bots, scrapers and crawlers with a single click” offering a way to do so even for the ones spoofing their User-Agent and such.
