@bender@twtxt.net YES! They’ll be sucking on a 1000GB Lollipop per request! 😂 I bet their VPS providers will be happy! VERY happy!
@bender@twtxt.net Actually the video is a reaction to: HTMX Sucks that is originally an essay by Carson Gross (the creator) in the “The worse-is-better design philosophy” and what not style. So No, it isn’t … or at least not in the sense one would get from such a title. 😄
@prologic@twtxt.net Watched that one the other day after seeing that much chatter about #HTMX on the feed. And now I’m watching HTMX Sucks - Youtube
by the same person (or should I say people?) 😂
I’m this close to making an Android app for managing a shopping list.
I just accidentally deleted the wrong list in the app that I’m currently using, and now there’s no way to get it back. Recreating it is a major pain, because typing on a phone sucks ass. Fuck.
Maybe I should just go back to using pen and paper …
Pinellas County - Tempo: 5.00 miles, 00:08:27 average pace, 00:42:16 duration
looks like my HR did it again… at about 2 miles in it went from 137 to 150. something must be wrong which sucks because now i cannot trust it. the run was pretty good and definitely felt like a tempo.

Pinellas County - Long Run: 13.12 miles, 00:09:14 average pace, 02:01:03 duration
it was pouring with heavy winds when i woke up so i waited a bit for it to calm down before heading out. it was great until the rain stopped and the humidity came in which coincided with the ascent. overall it was a good session. beth’s handheld water sucks.

Streaming services can suck. Wanted to watch the classic Elf movie for a fun movie night, but somehow we were getting the message “This movie is not available in your region.”. Turns out we were looking for the wrong title.
Pinellas County - Long run: 11.54 miles, 00:10:09 average pace, 01:57:14 duration
kind of sucked. should have waited another day and gave my body an actual rest because my legs were tired as fuck. did the park-to-park route which was cool. the second park was cool because it had a lot of walkways and a neat tower thing so did a bit of tourist mode there. the last leg of the run was brutal and just did not have the motivation.

So.. Of y’all that had covid. Did you have at the end a night where for no reason your brain amped up to 11 and can’t sleep at all? It happened to me last night and my FIL the night before.
I went to bed at 8 and woke up full on anxiety attack at 12 and could not calm my head until around 7 am. Today has sucked a lot.
Oh okay, so Youtube is cracking down on “Ad Blockers”.
Rightio. 🤔 And paying for Youtube Premium costs $14/month?! 🤯
Get fucked 🤣 I guess I won’t be using Youtube anymore. #Youtube #Ads #Premium #Suck
@prologic@twtxt.net yeah, it’s true. Thing is, Linux as a desktop operating system sucked in 1996 yet I adopted it then anyway because I wanted nothing to do with MS anymore 😆 I know it’s not for everyone but I’m pretty tolerant of a less-than-stellar experience if it means I can be free of big-company garbage.
I haven’t tried a Linux-based smartphone OS in a long time so I don’t have any idea how bad/good it might be. I figure when I finally break down and get a new phone I’ll experiment on my current phone.
In setting up my own company and it’s internal tools and services and supporting infrastructure, the ony thing I haven’t figured out how to solve “really well” is Email, Calendar and Contacts 😢 All the options that exist “suck”. They suck either in terms of “operational complexity and overheads” or “a poor user experience”.
Is there a Youtube frontend that doesn’t suck? Requirements:
- Disable all comments.
- Disable all public trending.
- Local-only
- Kid friendly

The benefits of blockchain implementation across multiple sectors are well-documented
WTF are you talking about? The only thing well-documented about “the blockchain” is that it sucks and its primary use case is creating Ponzi schemes.
I could use some healthcare right now, but corporate America sucks. You need to have a full-time job while everyone is being replaced by kiosks.
@phoronix@feeds.twtxt.net Google just sucks in every way it seems.
@obsidian-roundup@feeds.twtxt.net how many damn AI plugins does obsidian need? This shit is so annoying; it’s sucking the oxygen out of every other development effort.
Yes, but no. This didn’t happen before, it will drive me nuts. That search sucks, by the way. I know, I am being gentle. 😂
I’m just glad their in a bowl game. Gophers sucked for many years, its great to see the program get back on track.
@abucci@anthony.buc.ci Dependendies suck 😆
Too many moving parts 🤦♂️
real world software development is a never-ending series of compromises Thoughts on why sometimes programming/software engineering discussions suck | Hacker News
I did a take home software engineering test for a company recently, unfortunately I was really sick (have finally recovered) at the time 😢 I was also at the same time interviewing for an SRE position (as well as Software Engineering).
Got the results of my take-home today and whilst there was some good feedback, man the criticisms of my work were harsh. I’m strictly not allowed to share the work I did for this take-home test, and I really can only agree with the “no unit tests” piece of the feedback, I could have done better there, but I was time pressured, sick and ran out of steam. I was using a lot of libraires to do the work so in the end found it difficult to actually think about a proper set of “Unit Tests”. I did write one (in shell) but I guess it wasn’t seen?
The other points were on my report and future work. Not detailed enough I guess? Hmmm 🤔
Am I really this bad? Does my code suck? 🤔 Have I completely lost touch with software engineering? 🤦♂️
Real failure sucks. People you considered your friends stop returning calls. Doors close to you. You feel empty and lost. You can learn from it, but you can’t celebrate it. Failure hurts. And that’s OK. It’s supposed to hurt. A toast to all the rejects | Hacker News
This is like my 5rh day at it. I suck at words and spelling. So this is good practice.
the future sucks and i want a different one #novoAtlantis shit loads to do still, but we do have a domain for the project! https://atlantis.luxe/
Signal is experiencing technical difficulties. We are working hard to restore service as quickly as possible.
One thing I’d like to have one day (and it would be nice if it were integrated into twtxt.net and other pods with a familiar and pleasant user experience on Desktop, Web and Mobile) is an e2e encrypted messaging that is self-hosted and federated that doesn’t suck operationally (so many complicated solutions that exist that are hard to setup even for a Senior DevOps/SRE)
