• zerotier is more for devices for transparent vpn into my network
  

i use ssh and remote desktop to get in and about. typically via zerotier vpn. I have one of my VMs with ssh on a backup port for break glass to get back into the network if needed.

everything has ipv6 though my ISP does not provide it. I have to tunnel it in from my VMs.

@mckinley@twtxt.net, in your blog, I think a “line-heigh” of 1.5 (if I remember correctly you are setting it on the “body” on CSS) will make it more legible.

QOTD: What do you host on your home server? How do you host it? Are you using containers? VMs? Did you install any management interface or do you just SSH in? What OS does it run?

Mine runs Arch (btw) and hosts a handful of things using Docker. Adguard Home, http://mckinley2nxomherwpsff5w37zrl6fqetvlfayk2qjnenifxmw5i4wyd.onion/, and some other things. NFS, Flexo, and Wireguard (peer and bounce server in my personal network) are outside Docker. I have a hotkey in my window manager that spawns a terminal on my server using SSH. It makes things very easy and I highly recommend it.

I am thinking about replacing Docker with Podman because the Common Wisdom seems to say it’s better. I don’t really know if it is or isn’t.

Also, how much of your personal infrastructure is on IPv6? I think all the software I use supports both, but I’ve mostly been using IPv4 because it’s easier to remember the addresses. I’ve been working for the last couple days on making it IPv6-only.

beach run. i think it was around mile 4 where my leg and glutes had the piercing pain again. although my pace and HR did not really show it i was in a lot of pain. the following two days i took some ibuprofen which is very rare for me but i needed whatever inflammation on my ITB to ease a bit.

decided to snake through the neighborhoods… rolling hills and quite a bit of traffic. my left knee and glute were piercing and it didn’t stop throughout the day. it was better when i stood because sitting aggravated it more.

went in with no expectations. did not go all out but still put in a good effort. there were a lot of people (8,00 in total) and the majority were walking which is not a big deal but did mean a lot of weaving through trying to find opening. it was a great production and would do it again if i had someone who wanted to run it with me.

Hé oui ^^. Je suis curieux de voir comment ça fonctionne. J’apprécie de voir une configuration très semblable à httpd. L’idée de reléguer les cgi à slowcgi me semble intelligente. Somewhere I read that changing location, like entering a room, can rejigger neural pathways so that some thoughts and memories are somehow associated with the space. It’s the same for me when picking up a laptop. My purpose feels clear until I open a blank web browser window and my mind goes blank, too. In all the moments where I’m drawing a total blank, and then suddenly the thoughts come easily again: maybe that’s my brain looking for the room it was in before.
