I’ve made it a habit to always put on my noise cancelling headphones when going to bed (without music). It’s pure heaven. 😂 Silence and darkness. I fall asleep within minutes. 😂 Good night. 😴

@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz i also like the separation inherent with using dedicated devices. like i have a DAP, a fiio X1 ii from 2019, and it’s still going strong. it’s perfect for on the go music listening and i never have to worry about like going somewhere with no reception and the music drops out. it’s all local AND the battery lasts longer because i’m not using wi-fi or bluetooth or data. also i can directly access the file system and just add files anytime. this goes for my point & shoot and other devices too. i love this shit i’m such a nerd

@ionores@twtxt.net Opening the windows is the worst you can do with all that crazy smoke out there. But the music ain’t too bad. :-)

@movq@www.uninformativ.de Oh, a movqOS, that’s super cool! :-)

Yeah, glossy screens are straight from hell. :-D What’s this spooky wind chime background music?

Anyway, have great fun learning more and experimenting with this low level stuff!

This is how I play music. Find what I want on YT, download it to my dektop as an mp3 then I transfer it to a small mp3 player then I can plug that into a small speaker or a big one using a short audio lead

What? was? that? Music videos in the 90s was just something else. Especially like the guy in the straitjacket on a pogostick

Sad to see moc removed from the official arch linux repos, but also cool to learn the debian project has been quietly patching it and keeping it up to date in recent years. Long live the music on console player. (And debian!) :-)

felt good to be running. little twinge in the knee but i do not think it was anything to note. the run was easy and just chilled with the music. HR spiked for some reason on the last half mile but whatever.

The country music vamp n’ talk is a nice format. A stolen-from-the-blues-thing? I like the vibe of someone pouring out their heart into the mic in plain speech while their friends pour their hearts into their instruments gently in the background.

I am playing some ambient music that begins with a sound that’s a bit like the drone of an airplane engine, and I spent a good minute or two adjusting the volume wondering why the music wasn’t playing because I thought it was a plane🤦‍♂

I’ve been lost in my DAW for a week now. Making music – especially something along the lines of Metal with actual instruments, not just synthesizers – is so hard. 😩 Makes you appreciate the work of all those artists out there a lot more.
